Small Bathroom Storage Ideas That Actually Work (No Drilling Needed)

Oval woven storage basket organizing a bathroom vanity

Small bathrooms collect clutter fast: skincare, towels, spare toilet rolls, hair tools. The trick is to give everything a home while keeping surfaces calm. These ideas work in rentals too, because none of them need drilling.

1. Corral your vanity with a tray or slim basket

Loose bottles look messy; the same bottles on a tray look curated. A marble bathroom tray adds instant luxury, while a slim oval woven bathroom basket (33 × 10 cm) fits narrow vanities and adds natural texture.

2. Upgrade the everyday essentials

Swap the plastic tissue box for something beautiful. Our travertine-look tissue holder is made from waterproof resin, so it handles bathroom humidity, and it pairs perfectly with stone and wood accents. (Curious about the real stones? Read Travertine vs Marble.)

3. Use lidded storage for the not-so-pretty stuff

Spare toilet rolls, cotton pads and cleaning supplies belong out of sight. A rattan storage box hides them while looking like decor on a shelf or floor.

4. Go vertical with no-drill hooks

Wall space is the most underused storage in a small bathroom. No-drill wooden wall hooks stick on in seconds and hold towels, robes and hair tools. Tip: clean the wall with alcohol, press firmly and wait 24 hours before hanging anything heavy.

5. Stick to a tight palette

Choose two or three materials, such as natural woven fiber, stone and white ceramic, and repeat them. A limited palette makes a small room feel bigger and calmer.

6. Add one living (or faux) touch

A small vase with eucalyptus or faux stems softens hard tiles. Faux is ideal for windowless bathrooms: see Artificial Flowers That Look Real.
